Steel grating production processes

Serrated Steel grating is made of high strength carbon steel, which has high strength for steel grate. Strength and toughness are much higher than that of cast iron. It can be used for large span and heavy load environment such as wharf, airport, etc. This product has a large net hole with the best drainage: the leakage area is up to 83.3%, which is more than two times that of the cast iron. Product appearance: concise lines, silvery appearance, modern ideas, material saving, saving investment: large span, heavy load, low price than iron; and can save iron because the stolencrushed replacement cost.
Steel grating has two methods of welding and mounting style: plug welding and pressure welding. The processing is not very complicated but has high requirement for welding technology. Commonly we use fully automatic computer control welders to complete the welding process.
For pressure welding process, the loading flat steel bar and crossing bar are arranged in certain distance in the long way and short way, then welded with the 200MT hydraulic electric-resistance welding equipment into the plain sheet.Then the sheet going through slotting, grooving and edging to the finished grating products.
Commonly the center distances between two neighboring steel bars are 30mm and 40mm. Crossing bars center distances are 50 mm and 100 mm. We can supply various models according to customers demands.
